To talk about Kora is to talk about one of the most unpredictable and indefinable jewels of the new alternative sound. The Catalan artist continues developing a revulsive language for our pop, incorporating the formal findings she produces from her home studio. She controls the entire creative process: composing, arranging, playing, singing, recording, mixing, producing, and mastering. At the beginning of 2021, she confirmed her status as a revelation artist -she is only 19 years old- with the debut of “Renacer,” where we find tracks such as “Marte” and “La Luna.” Meanwhile, her anthem “Paciencia” has continued spreading among increasingly diverse and numerous audiences, including those in Latin America. She already has over three million streams on Spotify.
“NEQP” is the new single from “Renacer,” the debut album that Kora has divided into two parts; the second part is to be released at the end of this summer. “NEQP” is an electronic up-tempo hymn that takes us gently into a dark context. With a music style close to Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues, Electronic Music, and the most brilliant Pop, Kora articulates a unique discourse with atypical references, which are necessary to understand new narratives for contemporary pop music.
