Rompeola is one of those bands that make anyone who listens to them fall in love. The band was formed in January 2019 in Pelancura, a town located between the coast of San Antonio and Cartagena. Between rehearsal afternoons and visits to rocky places in the area, Ale, Pablo, Basti, and Mato get together to develop ideas that come along with the tide. The songs have the scent of the sea that molds sound textures that fill us with a stony hope with its movement and the crash of its waves against the rocks.
Rompeola sings about self-improvement and mental health problems caused by daily exhaustion and seeks to be a “space” of relief and relaxation. The band is currently part of the Trigal label.
At the end of November 2019, they release their first EP, “Ola,” which already has more than 36,000 plays on Spotify.
They won the “Estrella de Cobre” award for Best Emerging Band in October 2021. They have performed in important festivals such as VAM, Caudal, Ciclo del Trigo, Fonda de Anafunk, and others. And they have just released their first studio work, “Mood.”
