Natu Yunis
She is a Chilean actress, singer-songwriter, and producer. With Russian and Arab blood –committed to her culture and roots– she seeks to capture sounds from their history in her music. She began her artistic career inspired by her father, Peter Rock (precursor of the Chilean New Wave in the 60s), who motivated her to follow her own path in search of her identity. Last year, she started a Peruvian Boleros and Waltzes band called “Los Aretes de la Luna” in Valdivia. Her versatility and connection with the public highlight her visual theme in both projects. The first fuses gypsy jazz, bolero, Latin cumbia, flamenco rumba, and Chilean folklore, connecting traditional rhythms with a fresh and modern sound. And in Los Aretes, rescuing the roots of the classic bolero and Peruvian Creole music. In addition, she has been a general producer and community manager in several projects and bands throughout Chile in the last five years.
