Jimena Amarillo (ES)

España – Madrid

At a time when everyone is trying to stand out, Jimena Amarillo’s effortless authenticity is precisely what has made her one of the most distinctive and beloved voices in Spanish pop. Her music—always heartfelt and radiant—blends genres and sensibilities without ever losing its unmistakable identity, driven by direct, everyday lyrics that are deeply honest.

From her earliest singles to her first two albums, Cómo decirte, mi amor (2021) and La pena no es cómoda (2023), Jimena has built a world entirely on her own terms, guided by a do-it-yourself spirit—or, perhaps more accurately, a do it with your friends philosophy. Through this approach, she has forged an artistic voice whose sincerity and emotional openness have resonated with an entire generation.

That evolution reaches a new dimension with ANGÉLIKA (2025), her third album and her most ambitious, expansive, and creatively liberated project to date. Recorded largely with Marin Zannad at Entreprise Studios in Paris, the album embraces a more electronic, playful, and adventurous sonic palette while marking another milestone in her career: for the first time, Jimena opens her universe to guest vocalists, collaborating with Suai Suave, Ouineta, and Queralt Lahoz.

Throughout ANGÉLIKA, Jimena explores new identities, aesthetics, and ways of storytelling, embracing queer expression, performance, and emotional vulnerability with wit, freedom, and a deeply personal perspective. The result is an album that pushes her sound into new territory while preserving the authenticity and emotional closeness that have established Jimena Amarillo as one of the defining artists of Spain’s new pop generation.
