Fluvial presents its tenth anniversary with more than 50 artists, international guests and a historic program

Fluvial celebrates its tenth anniversary with a historic edition. From December 9th to 12th, Valdivia will bring together more than 50 artists, a diverse professional program, and international delegations from strategic markets for Chilean music. This initial announcement marks the start of accreditation sales and a series of new features that will be revealed in the coming months, leading up to an edition specially designed to commemorate the event’s tenth anniversary.

For a decade, Fluvial has helped transform how Chilean music connects with the world. From Valdivia, the festival has brought together artists, professionals, festivals, labels, institutions, Indigenous communities, other productive sectors, and diverse creative communities from different continents, establishing itself as one of Latin America’s leading music and creative industry events and projecting Chile as a key player on the international circuit.

The 2026 edition will mark the beginning of a celebration that will permeate its entire program. Fluvial will feature an outstanding artistic selection, a robust professional program, unprecedented international participation, a range of experiences linked to tourism, gastronomy, and nightlife, along with a series of events that will revisit the major themes that have defined its history, projecting them toward the challenges of the next decade. With this initial announcement, the countdown to a historic edition officially begins, with new milestones to be revealed in the coming months.

This year, Fluvial has funding from the Fund for the Promotion of National Music, 2026 Call of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.

Fluvial 2026 will feature the participation of prominent programmers, festival directors, and representatives of musical organizations from strategic markets for Chilean music.

This will be the first in a series of announcements, solidifying the event as the leading international networking platform for Chilean music and a space from which to continue promoting new initiatives for the development of the music industry.

A decade of conversations to imagine the future

To mark its tenth anniversary, Fluvial will present a special curated program for its professional programming, bringing together for the first time the major themes that have shaped the evolution of the event and the music industry over the past decade.

Since its inception, Fluvial has understood that music engages with much more than just the industry itself. Musical urbanism, tourism, media, sustainability, First Nations, cultural revitalization, territories, creative ecosystems, audiovisual media, the nightlife economy, early childhood development, audience building, internationalization, and global networks have all been part of an ongoing conversation that has accompanied the event’s development and anticipated many of the discussions that now define the sector’s agenda.

In 2026, these themes will converge once again in a single program to examine what has changed, what lessons have been learned at each stage, and what the challenges of the next decade will be, solidifying Fluvial as one of the leading spaces for reflection, exchange, and promotion for the Latin American music industry.

Ten years after its inception, Fluvial celebrates a decade of promoting Chilean music from Valdivia to the world. What began as an independent event has solidified into an international platform for artists, a space for knowledge exchange and networking, and a community of professionals and artists in constant collaboration, helping to position Valdivia as a leading city for the Latin American music industry.

The 2026 edition encapsulates a decade that has seen the participation of over 3,000 professionals, more than 500 international delegates, and over 400 musical projects, with a tangible impact on the careers of numerous artists and professionals. Furthermore, it has generated economic and image benefits for the city and the Los Ríos Region, strengthening an intersectoral ecosystem at the national and regional levels. This edition commemorates this journey and opens a new chapter to further strengthen the international reach of Chilean music from the Southern Hemisphere.

Fluvial’s tenth anniversary is a celebration open to its entire community: artists, professionals, institutions, the public, and those who have been part of this story over the past decade.
