Santiago – Chile

Absolute references in Chile’s experimental music and self-managed scene, the band formed by the Santis brothers alongside Walter Roblero released Distancia, an album that brought nearly a decade-long recording hiatus to an end and bears witness to the constant sonic evolution they have embraced throughout their almost 30-year career. Having performed on stages across Peru, Mexico, the United States, Spain, and Argentina, the trio has shown that evolution is their guiding principle, surprising audiences with a renewed approach in which machines coexist in a noisy, chaotic harmony with drums, bass, and a trumpet inspired by free jazz. With seven albums and an EP to their name, their return also features the emerging voices of Laurela, A.K.A. Lore (chicarica), and Renatto Olivares (Hesse Kassel).
