Lumaco – Chile

Sofía Painiqueo Tragnolao is a prominent Mapuche singer-songwriter and cultural leader with over 50 years of experience. Native to the Dibulco community in La Araucanía, Chile, she has dedicated her career to educating youth and preserving ancestral traditions through the Folil Che Aflaiai group. Winner of the Santiago Municipal Art Award, she has promoted Indigenous culture across festivals and venues in America, Europe, and Africa.
