Fluvial Sync - Call for Applications: Advanced Program in Music Synchronization
Following a first edition that marked a milestone in the professionalization of the Chilean music sector around audiovisual synchronization—with concrete results such as official synchronizations and contracts signed with international agencies—Fluvial is launching the call for applications for the second edition of Fluvial Sync: Advanced Program in Music Synchronization.
Fluvial invites you to be part of our Advanced Program in Music Synchronization. This program aims to introduce music catalogs to international Music Supervisors and other potential buyers, fostering music exports and generating new business opportunities by getting the training needed to become reliable sources of music and information.
The program will feature progressive training modules by various key players from the music and audiovisual industries, who will share their knowledge from diverse perspectives, including legal, administrative, technical, logistical, economic issues, and marketing.
This program will run from October to December 2025, featuring both online and in-person activities as part of Fluvial 2025, which will take place from December 10 to 13 in Valdivia. Participants can take part in either or both formats.
Who is it aimed at?
The call for applications is open to:
– Institutions and representation entities of the music industry (PROs, export offices, associations, representation offices, etc.), who may register their representatives, each of whom may participate with 10 songs.
– Music catalogs, record labels, and/or publishers, and sync agencies, each of whom may participate with 10 songs.
– Independent artists, producers, and composers, each of whom may participate with 10 songs.
Program structure
The program consists of three stages, each with an evaluation that will determine advancement to the next stage, based on criteria of musical quality, compliance, and preparation. The first two stages are online, while the third combines virtual and in-person participation in Valdivia.
STAGE 1 – online
Training: Three 90-minute sessions to deepen your knowledge of regulatory agreements on copyright and related rights, protection and registration (obtaining identification numbers), and information, file, and metadata management. A specialized, in-depth course that can become a solid foundation for building your business model.
STAGE 2 – online
Mentorships: Three sessions (one per week) with an expert music supervisor or sync agent who will allow you to delve deeper into your training and start building valuable relationships.
STAGE 3 – online and in person at Fluvial 2025
Only 12 catalogs will advance to this final stage, which consists of 4 activities:
– Training: Two online sessions to prepare written and spoken music and information presentations, leading up to Stage 3.
– Networking session (online and in person): A session where supervisors and buyers introduce themselves, share their current music needs, and answer questions from participants, fostering an open and relaxed dialogue.
– Listening session (online and in person): A session where participants can confidently present their music.
– Business Rounds (online and in person): Fast-paced, one-on-one meetings where participants can delve deeper into their catalogs and services, strengthening their relationships with supervisors and other buyers.
The team in charge
The program is designed and led by Patricia Carrera, an international leader in music synchronization. Music supervisor, licensing, and music consulting for audiovisual productions on Netflix, Amazon, Disney, and HBO, president of the Asociación de Supervisión Musical de Habla Hispana (ASM).
