Álvaro Gómez
Algorecords / El Hotel records
In 2002, he and his brother Alejandro founded the record label Algorecords, which emerged from the “do it yourself” culture. This label became an icon of the independent rock scene in Chile, with more than 70 albums released and still in full operation. It is also the platform from which “Perrosky,” his band, releases all their albums. Since 2016, Alvaro has also been one of the directors responsible for organizing the avant-garde festival and conference “En Órbita.” This one-of-a-kind festival in Chile has hosted renowned bands such as The Sonics, The Dandy Warhols, Os Mutantes, Los Mirlos, Thee Oh Sees, and Cigarettes After Sex, among others. He managed the Latin American subsidiary of Burger Records, known as Burger Records Latam, for three years. During the pandemic, in collaboration with Dani Herbera from Ataque Records (Spain), he launched a new project called Hotel Records, a platform focused on connecting and discovering new Latin talents.
