Kinmakirú is a Chilean ritual rock band that combines ancestral sounds with rock. Their music focuses on the Native Peoples’ worldview and love as a social transformation tool. The band is made up of Josefina Lund, Millaray Soto, and brothers Osvaldo and Rodrigo Rodrigo, who have been working on this artistic proposal for over six years. Their sound mixes traditional rhythms and instruments, such as pifilcas, trompe, and percussion, with rock, rap, folklore, and progressive music. Their first album, released in 2022, contains fourteen original tracks that address themes such as freedom, spirituality, and rebellion. The band has performed on various stages and festivals and is part of the Indigo Award-winning Red Poncho label. Kinmakirú offers a profound musical experience that connects with the origins, the earth, and the universe.
